Soms moet je naar de bron afreizen om te vinden wat je zoekt. Onze experts gingen naar Napels, en bezochten daar de allerbeste espressobars. Ze gingen bovendien in gesprek met de koffiebranders van de koffie die ze dronken. Zo ontdekten we de geheimen van de Napolitaanse koffiestijl. Ristretto is een klassieke Italiaanse koffie. De combinatie van een lange en korte branding zorgt voor een volle body en frisse fruittonen. Een waar eerbetoon aan meesterbranders in Italië.
Ben jij net zo'n fan van onze Arpeggio als wij? De bonen van deze koffie zijn relatief kort gebrand. Het resultaat is een perfect gebalanceerde bitterzoete koffie met een romig mondgevoel en geroosterde tonen van cacao.
We hebben Livanto een medium branding gegeven. Maar nog steeds donker genoeg om tonen van karamel en granen te ontwikkelen. Hierdoor heeft de koffie een rond mondgevoel en blijft de balans intact.
Wandel door Stockholm en je kan overal genieten van intense zwarte koffies met een hartig, moutachtig aroma. World Explorations Stockholm Lungo bootst het aromatische profiel van de Zweedse koffie na door Monsooned Malabar te combineren met Colombiaanse Arabica voor een intense, zoete koffie met een vleugje bitterheid. Een gebalanceerde, verwarmende kop koffie met soepele tonen van mout en graan, dat is de World Explorations Vienna Lungo. HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY MACHINE?
If you have soft water, you need to descale your machine at least once a year. If you have hard water, we recommend that you descale your machine twice a year. (If you do not know what type of water you have, check the water tank. Hard water generally leaves a white residue.)
Always remove the capsule after use.
Refresh the water in the water tank regularly and routinely empty and clean the used capsule container and drip tray.
Do not forget to press one of the coffee volume buttons (such as the Lungo or Espresso button) to let water run through the machine without a capsule before preparing the first cup of coffee. This will clean the extraction system for an even tastier cup of coffee and will heat your coffee cup at the same time.
WHAT DOES 19 BAR MEAN?
All Nespresso machines come equipped with a high-pressure 19 bar pump. This delivers the pressure needed to pierce the capsule and extract the 900 different coffee aromas. The unique shape of the Nespresso capsule ensures an even flow of pressurised water through the ground coffee. Water temperature and extraction time are also essential in ensuring all of the precious aromas are released.
WHAT IS AN AMERICANO? An Americano is a coffee that consists of 25ml of coffee with 125ml of hot water. With the Citiz Platinum you can make an Americano with the push of a button. An Americano XL is a coffee that consists of 40ml coffee with 160ml hot water. Adding hot water softens bitter notes. The coffee becomes smoother and sweeter, but retains its intrinsic character.
MY CITIZ MACHINE HAS POOR OR NO COFFEE FLOW
If there is no coffee flow, check the power cord has not become jammed between the water tank and the machine and that the machine is switched on (i.e. the power indicator light is on). If the coffee flow is poor, we recommend descaling your machine.
THE LIGHTS ON MY CITIZ MACHINE ARE FLASHING. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
If the lights are flashing quickly and continuously, it generally means the machine is in descaling mode or that the draining system has been switched on.
If the lights are flashing slowly and intermittently (every two seconds), it means the machine is in (energy-saving) standby mode. If the machine has not been used for nine minutes, it automatically switches into standby mode. If you want the machine to come out of standby mode, simply press any button and the flashing rhythm will change. The machine is ready for use once the buttons stop flashing.
