[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh.My. Lord. I did not know this would become our favorite coffee. My husband and I make Keurig coffee and buy Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts coffee for reference. when we reviewed this we got a sampling of different flavors and we found our favorites of the starter kit to be the Bianco Forte and the Mexico coffee. My husband tried the carafe sized pods a few times and has also given high marks. Also, the pods are recyclable which allows piece of mind when buying pods. The coffee from this machine is on par or better than any cup we've gotten from any coffee shop. I highly recommend the Nesspreso Vertuo machine to anyone looking to make high quality coffee at home for much less than other more expensive machines.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get this to try. I absolutely love it. Everything is so easy to use. Set up was easy. I think my favorite parts about it is how the pods pop into the little side trash and how they're made of recycled materials. I was not able to get it to connect to my phone. But honestly, I'm not great with technology, so I think it's just me. The flavors were great. It frothed nicely as well. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

We will never go back to Keurig! I bought my Nespresso Vertuo/Milk Frother bundle about a year and a half ago, and my husband and I love it so much! Keurig coffee just doesn't hit the mark anymore now that I have used the Nespresso. The pods are not cheap, but they are definitely cheaper than buying Starbucks every day. I honestly prefer my Nespresso coffee/lattes more than my old Starbucks order.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas against my better judgment after reading the reviews. The first one wouldn't brew coffee after the first cup. It is supposed to connect to your phone so you can troubleshoot any issues but it lost the connection immediately and just said no machine found. I returned it and bought a second one figuring we couldn't get two bad ones in a row. Was I ever wrong!! The second one lasted two days before the issues started. It had a blue light on top and wouldn't brew coffee. (there is no mention of a blue light in the manual). My daughter called the help line and after requesting that she perform a long series of button pressing and unplugging it brewed a single cup of coffee. The response from Nespresso was that she was "all set". They told her the blue light was either a chip malfunction or condensation in the machine (even though she had only made two cups of coffee at that point). It has required at least one reset every day to get a cup of coffee and many days it just won't work at all. And like the previous machine, it will not connect to her phone when it is having an issue. She has made several calls to Nespresso with no real offers to correct the issue. And yesterday she discovered it has been leaking and ruined the top of her coffee stand. We have a Vertuo Plus and love it so I have ordered one for her. Believe the reviews you see and stay away from this machine!

Breaks every couple months

The machine design is downright poor. I’ve replaced mine multiple times and have no hope that I won’t have to replace it again in the near future. Unfortunately I think it’s the best looking machine; it functions better as a decorative object than a coffee machine.

Used it for three weeks, then it stopped brewing

I got this as a Christmas gift and got it all set up as soon as I could. It worked great for the first week, then it would take a little bit to actually start brewing (I would have to open and close the top a few times to finally get it to brew). Now it just lights up as if it’s ready, I push the button and then nothing happens. This apparently is not an uncommon occurrence with the vertuo next if you look online. Google “Vertuo next won’t brew” and you can read all the other posts from people experiencing the same thing. Really disappointed.

Have needed to replace my machine 3 times since getting it as a gift for Christmas 2021. Constantly has issues with leakage, or it will suddenly stop brewing pods. On my third machine currently and have been switched to a different model. Hoping this one is better because at this point I have 100$ worth of pods sitting around.

Enjoyed the brew for 40 days (just passed 30 day return policy), when it doesn't pour water out the side and over fill the cup, dripping coffee down to the floor. Permanent cabinet stain and wet mess. Yeah, bummer... Went to web site and tried factory reset to prevent overfilling. Didn't work.

I absolutely love this machine. I use to spend hundreds a month a Starbucks before getting this machine, and now I never go.This is 110% an upgrade from a keurig, which I had and never used. The nespresso gives me the ability to make amazing lattes at home which is what I have always been wanting. I have had no problems with my next machine like others people report and I’m going on almost a year of having it. If you’re looking to kick your daily coffee run, I highly recommend a nespresso.

I am currently on my second machine, awaiting my Third. They warrantied my first machine after it quit working, (solid red light?). Then the second machine they sent me works periodically and leaks water everywhere. I requested a different machine, they said they would warranty. After a month of waiting for the Evolou, I called again and they are out of stock. Soooo I guess I am going to wait for the Vertou hopefully we don’t have the same problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off by saying that I am very grateful to have received this complimentary product in exchange for an honest review. Here are my pros and cons: PROS - this machine makes it very easy to enjoy a cup of espresso. A lot of credit goes to the Nespresso company itself because their espresso pods produce great tasting espresso. CONS: The use of the machine is not inherently intuitive. It can be a little hard to lock the machine on top. The first time I did this I got rid of a pod by accident. I even got cuts on my hand from trying to retrieve it. The machine itself is quite expensive, and buying the pods for the espresso is also expensive. even though this makes a great tasting espresso, I don’t envision myself buying ones purely because of the cost and upkeep. Overall, I have enjoyed my use of this product, but will unlikely be using it again in the future.

2 leaking machines in less than 30 days

3 days after purchasing the Vertuo Next, it began leaking a substantial amount of water from the top of the machine. We returned it to the department store where it was purchased and received a replacement machine in the same model/color. The new machine performed well for 8 days before it began leaking from the top as well. We've been using our old Keurig until we're able to speak with Nespresso customer service for another replacement machine. We're going to give Nespresso one more chance before walking away from the brand. The coffee quality is incredible but our overall experience with the Vertuo Next has been a big disappointment so far.

I got this machine for Christmas and have loved it since. I use to be a daily Starbucks drinker but have given up Starbucks completely because of this machine. Making coffee is so easy and frothing your own creamer is too! My phone is synched up with it and the machine tells you when there is a problem with it. The coffee pods are a tad expensive but when you realize it’s a dollar a pod it’s still cheaper than Starbucks everyday!

Regret my “upgrade”

I had an original retro style Virtuo machine and that this was (is) a trooper—the friend I gave it to after my “upgrade” has a better machine than me. I got this this “upgrade” as a gift from my gift list for more options, cup sizes and the smaller footprint. Well, I cannot, after a few months recommend it. It is flimsy, sometimes starts, sometimes not, leaks and that’s not good with a beautiful new white countertop. The coffee it makes is cold and making something just to microwave it is terrible. I only use this periodically now and have switched back to my old Mr Coffee machine and regular grounds. We will figure out later if a different machine makes sense or maybe continue with Mr Coffee and let guests use this one since periodic use is all it can handle. I bought the pour over carafe kit but have not been able to purchase more variety than the one pour over capsule. The second type is always out of stock. Pretty disappointing overall.

Great Coffee. Glitchy machine. No 14 oz capsules?

We've had this coffee maker since May 2021, and sometimes, it just won't start, then suddenly it will. It also leaks a small amount of icky brown stuff from somewhere under the machine. Another reason we bought it was because of the advertised cups to brew 14oz for our travel mugs, and they've been discontinued for quite some time. I really don't want to brew two 7.77 oz pods; one for the expense, and because you never know if it will actually brew!

Doesn’t live up to Nespresso Quality

I bought this in November after receiving our first Vertuo machine as a gift and falling in love with the coffee (we have one of the original Nespresso machines that has been a workhorse for us, too). I really like the form factor of the machine and it fits great in my office. Unfortunately, after only a few capsules, we realized this is nothing like our previous machines and experiences. The biggest frustration is how the coffee drips back into the drip tray. If you don’t clean it every 4-5 capsules, you end up with a moldy mess. The other issue is the number of times you have to reset it to keep the consistency with the coffee pour. We’ve had our original machine for over 10 years and have never had to contact support. Our other Vertuo machine is running like a champ. The Vertuo Next is one to avoid. Note: After these issues, Nespresso customer service is sending us a new machine. Given the reviews I’ve read, though, I’m not overly optimistic.

Do not purchase this machine

This thing is great when it works...but it works less than 50% of the time. Then you eject a perfectly good pod into the waste basket. White, solid light shows up, hit the button, and then....nothing. It's incredibly frustrating. You can unplug it for a bit then plug it back in and it will work for a cup or two. But then the same thing happens. Such a shame because it's really good when it works.

Wish it was a keeper

Received my first machine as a Christmas present and it quit working after 2 weeks of very light usage. Attempted to troubleshoot with customer service and ended up getting a replacement. The replacement machine came and worked for another 2 weeks and I ran into the same problem as before (water leaking under the machine and unable to reset the machine). It's extremely disappointing because I absolutely love the aesthetics of the limited edition of this model and overall size so it's very unfortunate. However, I have to agree with everyone else that the Nespresso customer service is exceptional - very patient and understanding. My replacement machine is a different model so hopefully 3rd time's the charm!

My dad always wanted one of these but I don’t know one day I might buy for him and a lot of people I see in Internet they have said that it’s a great like coffee maker and you should using you should buy it so I recommend this so I’m gonna buy it soon

I’ve had my vertuo

I’ve had my vertuo next for about 6 months now. There’s a lot of reviews about it breaking and mine has broken once but I was able to get a replacement. Other than that one time it works really great and makes the best at home coffee I’ve ever had.

Convenient and good enough, when it works

1. I got this machine from a friend as a house warming gift. Used it for 3-4 months then it stopped working. I got a replacement unit and same thing happened again. Got another replacement (different model). Still waiting to get it, but hope it will work better. 2. I would like to see a temp adjustment option because sometimes I like it hotter. Currently the temp is predetermined by the machine. 3. Customer service is great. I am not switching to another brand because of the service.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great Coffee but the machine never works!

We use this product a lot because we both work from home. We are on our second machine because it seems like this product has a lot of issues. The first one completely stopped working the first 6 months we had it. The second is to the point that I have to go through the "cleaning" process and factory reset for the machine EVERY TIME to brew a pod. It is very frustrating. Will not be getting this machine again.

No, I do not recommend this product.
