Useless machines. Doesn’t work more than a year

These coffee machines are useless and are poor quality. They start acting only after 6 months. After speaking to the customer care for hours, they couldn’t find a solution. They asked me 130 dollars just to repair the machine when you can buy a new one for 129.

This machine is great when it works...this particular model is WELL known for breaking often. To be fair, when it works, coffee is pretty good. You must be diligent in not leaving pods in the chamber, and must clean/descale VERY frequently to keep the machine working. I do all of these things but have still had issues with the Next. Customer service is great and will replace if the machine is defective but it's always a hassle calling to describe the issue, troubleshoot over the phone until they believe it is broken, waiting on the new machine etc. My first machine lasted less than 2 months, the second a whole year, and now on our 3rd..... I would not recommend the Next, its not worth the trouble. Invest in a better machine, and save yourself the hassle.

I really love the look of this machine but it doesn't last unfortunately! My first one only last about 10 months and my second one, about 6. Customer service is sending me the evoluo model so let's hope this one works for years! Great support though for my last machine with their video chat.

I bought this machine for my mom for Christmas 2021, it lasted 6 months, the machine didn't work again. I was able to trade it in as it was still under warranty. But 8 months later the new machine was also damaged, it doesn't work (it turns on but the coffee never comes out). The truth is that I am very upset with Nespresso, I will not buy it again and I do not recommend it

I found that most coffees I’ve had before lacked enough punch to make it worth drinking. The quality and flavor alone stand apart from what those other “pod” alternative machines make. Most importantly I can actually feel the caffeine. I had to buy one for home and now my wife and I are hooked. Highly recommended.

If you know me, you know I am a fanatic for coffee. Having a cup of coffee that tastes just right can make or break your day, and with the Nespresso Vertuo Next, you won’t be disappointed. I love the variety of sizing with the coffee pods. From espresso all the way up to alto, there is a size for every kind of coffee drinker out there. I so far have found my favorites are the espresso and double espresso sizes. I love the intensity of the brew and it always holds up well to the milk and creamer I add when making iced coffees or cappuccinos. This bundle came with the Aeroccino 3 as well, which is amazing. It’s dead silent (even when I’m standing next to it watching it go, I can’t hear a thing) making it great for me who works early mornings- My housemates never hear a thing despite it whirring away! The Nespresso is a bit louder. I love that the Aeroccino has the option for two different types of foaming— with the whisk for denser cappuccino foam/cold foam or without the whisk for steamed milk and a gentle foam for lattes. I mix milk and creamer for the bubbles and sweetness, and mess with the ratio depending on my mood. The Nespresso does create a foam with each capsule, so if you have a small mug, this might be inconvenient and I tend to spoon it out into the sink. I have also noticed sometimes when steaming milk, the milk can get burnt a bit on the bottom of the Aeroccino, but I wash it after every use and it comes off with a gentle wipe down with soap and water. The whisk is able to be separated for easy cleaning too, and it’s magnetic making it easy to place back into the machine (I stick it on my metal dish rack while it dries). Overall, I haven’t had the machine long enough to attest to its longevity, but I have seen advice to maintain frequently (running cleaning and descaling cycles, emptying the pod disposal system, etc) to give you the best chance of the machine lasting. I definitely recommend the Nespresso (or even just the Aeroccino 3) to avid coffee drinkers who enjoy the ability to make any drink you want from home for a fraction of the cost compared to buying out. The upfront cost seems like a lot, but the machine undoubtedly pays for itself after a few months compared to $4-$8 coffees from coffee chains/shops every day.

After using for a year, the machine started to leak on the bottom. There is a puddle of water under the machine if the water storage tank has any water in it. Kind of annoying to have to clean water up every time you want to use it.

I bought a second machine after trying a couple cups as I loved the flavours. First machine is still alive and kicking. Second machine has been nothing but problems from day one. Probably should have returned it before it was to late an inevitable crapped out all together. That being said they are on sale so fingers crossed for machine number 3

The taste is different from the store

I bought this machine based on the sample taste that I had in store (Burlington branch) but the taste of coffee is different it seems it burns the coffee and the smell is not pleasant, As I checked the manufacturer of the machine in the store was Breville but my received machine doesn't have any brand that I can see who is the producer. Is that the reason for the difference? How could I see the manufacturer name in my machin ?

We have owned a Nespresso machine for two years. We love the taste of the Vertuo pods we have invested in. We are more of double espresso shots than anything. The fact that it is so easy and accessible to brew ukir coffee without making any mess and enjoy the richness of fresh coffee is what drifted us to be a espresso consumer.

Wonderful while it works! The coffee is truly amazing, but I have a keurig that is almost 8 years okd and still works. Its not the best coffee but it does what it was bought to do. My vertuo next was purchased not even 2 years ago and its always been acting strange. It never worked with just one push of the button, the orange light of death was always there even though I ALWAYS use distilled water. About 2 weeks ago it started acting up again for what apparentlu is the last time. I unplugged and plugged, tried to descaled and I wasted several pods trying to get it to work! It just wont! And because its just ONE button there isnt much that can be done. Definitely chose a different model and to Nespresso either issue a recall and fix the issue or remove it from your catalog!

Taste good but three in a row have died in 3 years

The coffee tastes great while the machine is working. I’ve gone through three of these machines over the last 3 years, they last a little bit and then the dreaded double orange flash which means an internal electrical fault. I’ve followed all directions and babied the machine. My 3rd machine just went toes up today. I’m regrettably tossing my vertuo pods and going with another manufacturer. Can’t afford to replace them yearly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my second machine. Just wore the first one out. New one smaller compact and more versatile. Love the coffee. The recycling program and the convenience. Looking forward to using a larger cup size. My machine number 2 is new. Haven’t tried bigger size yet.
