Beautiful sleek modern design! You do have to wait until the water heats so it does take a few seconds. The coffee is quality and the taste of the coffee from nespresso is top notch, you can make American coffee and expresso. I find that you have to place a little pressure to close the lid (to seal)

The Nespresso Vertuo Next has been a mixed experience. The sleek and compact design fits perfectly on my counter without taking up too much space. The machine is user-friendly, with a simple one-button operation that delivers a good cup of coffee. The variety of coffee sizes, from espresso to large mugs, is a nice feature, and the quality is generally good with a rich crema. The barcode system ensures optimal brewing for each pod, making it convenient. Additionally, the machine heats up quickly, so I never have to wait long for my coffee. However, the machine requires frequent descaling, which can be quite annoying. I've also encountered several malfunctions during the descaling process, which adds to the frustration. Cleanup is otherwise easy, and the used capsule container is simple to empty. Overall, while the Nespresso Vertuo Next offers convenience and decent coffee quality, the frequent descaling and occasional malfunctions make it a 3-star product for me.

I will start off by saying I love my Nespresso coffee and have for nearly a decade now, however, coffee aside my negativity towards Nespresso is due to the awful quality of the Next. I have gone through 3-4 of these in the past 4 years, some of which rather conveniently failed just outside of the warranty period.
My current unit lasted the longest at about 2 years but now that it has stopped working again I am left with a sour taste in my mouth once again, as I frequently replace the coffee-making machine. It would be nice if Nespresso put the same quality and care into their machines as they do in their coffee.
Unfortunately, there is no manufacturing alternative, so I am stuck with buying these junk machines repeatedly, this being at least the 4th time now, and it is likely the last time I consider buying another one of these.
For context, I make 2 coffees daily and clean + descale twice a year.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I love this a lot. It does what it says and it does it well. I use a variety of non-dairy milks and find that quality of froth depends on the milk. I wish it was a bit sleeker, but also could do more milk at a time. It will overflow if you get close to the max line, which isn’t so much for some of the nespresso coffees.

A simple solution for coffee lovers

I received this as a birthday present from my parents and it’s quite literally the best thing I’ve ever gotten gifted. I live alone so this is perfect for me just to make one cup of very strong coffee for myself in the mornings before I start work. I prefer the 1oz espresso pods that are super strong yet smooth and with the milk frother I have a perfect coffee shop latte right at home every day. The milk frother also has a cold foam option so I can also make iced lattes in the afternoon like I’m enjoying right now as I write this. My issue with a normal coffee machine is that it was easy for me to ruin the ratio of water and coffee grounds and sometimes if you leave it on too long it tastes a little bitter almost burnt. You never get this with a fresh nespresso cup! Delicious and perfect every time.

Stay far away from this machine. All the horrible reviews are right. Nespresso is obviously aware of the issues and not doing anything about it. My machine constantly blinks at me, won’t brew without going through a whole cleaning cycle first. Sometimes I can get it going if I do a sequence of unplugging, opening the lid, spinning the top capsule puncture thing, closing again, restarting etc. Customer service insists on “troubleshooting” which results in a successful brew in the end but the next day it happens all over again.
I’ve had the Vertuo Round head in the past and zero issues with that one. This one is a lemon. Stay far away.

I have had this machine for over two years and it is still going strong. As a former barista, I'm picky when it comes to my coffee. This machine is quick and simple to use. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to make lattes at home.

So unbelievably excited about this purchase! The best coffee/expresso I’ve ever made. It’s even made me decide to quite going to Starbucks. It tastes so delicious and I already have a bunch of coffee syrups to add. The bonus is this bundle came with a milk frother and warmer! There’s no going back now!

Okay coffee, but poor machine operation.

I received my machine as a gift in 2022. However, over 6 months later I had a connection issue between my phone and the machine. I wasn’t able to run any maintenance via Bluetooth. After calling Nespresso and troubleshooting they deemed it needed replacement. I received my replacement and pairing my phone to the machine worked fine. But no more than a month later it would stop pairing, so yet again I couldn’t run the maintenance programs or check for firmware updates. Still to this day my phone and machine have issues communicating. I’ve since purchased a brand new phone and the problem still exists. I’ve rest the machine many times, removed the app from my phone. Restarted my phone, reset the network settings and still have issues. No point in selling a product and advertising these features if they don’t actually work.
As for the coffee yes it’s nice and convenient, but being locked into an ecosystem with these pods is a disgrace. At least with the old machine I had I could order third party pods. I’ve also noticed that Nespresso constantly brings out variations or limited editions to the original line, but leaves the Vertuo line out? I’m sure this is some marketing ploy to try get original owners to buy their products, as they are losing business to other coffee producers. Us Vertuo owners get left out throughout the year when it comes to limited editions and even when they do bring them out they sell out quickly and never bring them back. It wouldn’t be hard to take one lot of coffee and put it into a different shaped pod? Do yourself a favour and buy a proper coffee machine, so you aren’t locked into this crap system.

I want to give it 2.5 stars. Half the time it's great and I love the flexibility of different style coffees. Although I have nothing but machine issues since purchasing in2021. My last machine lasted over 10 years without a single fault. I won't be buying another one.
