We’re passionate about supporting our farmers’ livelihoods, so they can continue to produce some of the finest coffee that preserves the best of our world. And this is just the start. ALUMINIUM CAPSULES

Nespresso capsules are made using aluminium a material that can be repeatedly recycled without losing its properties. Most of our coffee capsules are made from at least 80% recycled aluminium.

RECYCLING PROGRAM

Nespresso coffee capsules that are recycled via our dedicated recycling program go on to have a second life. The coffee grounds are used in soil mix for landscaping while aluminium is returned to the aluminium industry to make new products.

PRECISION CONSUMPTION DESIGN

Nespresso’s precision consumption system means only the required amount of water, coffee grounds and energy are used to make a cup of coffee, minimising waste.

ETHICALLY SOURCED COFFEE

Nespresso is committed to doing the best we can for our climate, our communities and our circular economy by recycling, ethically sourcing our coffee and ensuring every cup of coffee is a force for good. Together with the Rainforest Alliance, the Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality Program supports 120,000+ farmers to grow the highest quality coffee more sustainably.

Be Part of the Solution

Delivering premium coffee, cup after cup, comes with accountability. Nespresso is constantly looking at ways we can improve and make a difference wherever we can, which is why we offer four options to recycle your coffee pods:

⦿ Via Nespresso Boutiques.

⦿ At participating collection points.

⦿ Bulk recycling boxes: You can participate by either becoming a Private Collection Point, such as for your residential complex or workplace, or be promoted as a Public Nespresso Collection Point, enabling members of the public to access and recycle using your recycling boxes.
