Lattes have become a popular choice for many coffee drinkers in recent years, even rivalling the popularity of cappuccinos for coffee drinkers. But what exactly is a latte and how is it different to a cappuccino?

A latte is similar to a cappuccino, with espresso, steamed milk and foamed milk. The main difference between a cappuccino and a latte is ratio of milk. A latte typically has more steamed milk and less froth.

How many calories in a cappuccino?

If you’re counting calories, a cappuccino isn’t going to add a lot of calories to your day. There’s about 70 calories in a standard cappuccino with 220ml skim milk. For full fat milk, it would be about 120 calories for the same amount of milk. If you’re choosing soy milk, the calories increase slightly again.
