Congo Organic
REVIVING ORIGINS is our long-term program through which we partner with farmers to bring back some of the great coffees we almost lost. DR Congo’s years of instability left many plantations abandoned. Nespresso's REVIVING ORIGINS program joins with farmers and partners to support coffee communities in raising Congo coffee to its full stature. Each year, we'll bring you more of this smooth organic coffee with its mild fruity notes and alluring sweet cereals and nutty aromas.
Origin
This 100% Arabica coffee is sourced in the rich Lake Kivu shores in eastern Congo.
Roasting
We split this single-origin coffee during roasting. Half gets a dark and short roast, while the rest gets a slightly longer time to develop more intensity. The particle size is a bit coarser than in Original to be better adapted to the Professional system.
Our capsules are made of 80% recycled Aluminium
This is part of our continued journey towards circularity, going further to minimize waste and maximize the reuse of product materials.
Recycled aluminium requires less energy to produce and it provides the perfect barrier against oxygen, light, and humidity to protect the freshness and aromas of coffee over time.
