I bought this as a secondary machine for our RV. When I discovered my regular machine doesn’t work with the large pods, I brought it into the house for more regular use. Despite regular rinsing, it likes to send half the coffee down the “dribble hole” into the used pod receptical. It regularly refuses to brew, making whirring noises only to stop and flash orange. It might make one cup and then “laugh” at the next. I’m not even sure I trust putting it back in the RV anymore. I’ll probably just open the rest of the large pods and put them in my pour over. Sadly it’s easier to do that rather than cussing and swearing first thing in the morning. It also seems to dribble dark sludge from underneath, although I have yet to be able to pinpoint where. At the end of the day, as long rambling review is under caffeinated. I am so tired of playing with this coffee pot that I think it’s going into the garbage. My next one will definitely not be this style.

Love my machine! 3 months of using it 1-3 times a day and no issues. I have read so many bad things about the machine but they haven’t happened to me luckily. Only downside is the fact it is hard to close and lock to brew coffee now. Really need to work to get it closed.

However, we understand that the machine can be difficult to close at times, and we’re happy to provide some user tips that may help. Coffee grounds can build up in the upper head unit. We recommend opening the head and in the upper unit, carefully grab around the rotating part and rotate it around a few times one way, and then around a few times the other way, until the rotating unit spins easily. Once the rotating unit spins easily, we recommend running the Clean Cycle to eliminate coffee grounds build up within the brew unit.
For best maintenance for your Vertuo Next, we recommend to always eject the used capsule after every use, run the Clean Cycle once a week, and descale your machine every three months. All removable spare parts, including the water tank, should be washed by hand at least once a week.
The Vertuo Next comes with a one-year warranty and a lifetime of troubleshooting support through Nespresso. I travel a lot, so I wanted one to travel with me that was easier than my daily Nespresso machine. I was always worried I was going to damage my daily machine. This one is a game changer. It has the adaptability to do larger 12oz pods... perfect for travel mornings! The profile is more slim, great for small space set up. The used pod holder is inside the slim profile, you have to empty more than regular but that's not difficult. The water hopper is also smaller, but it's worth it to have smaller for my needs. I've had a Nespresso machine for over 7years, went through thousands of pods, and I will never go back to a regular machine. If you need a travel version, this is the best option in their stock I believe.

I bought this machine over a year ago, it only works when it wants to. It’s a good machine when it wants to be, brews amazing coffee.. but Bought it thinking it’d save me time on my way to work but would get stuck at home trying to make it work to take a coffee to go! I’ve wasted so many pods sadly from it not working properly. I had descaled it and cleaned it when needed and still acts up. I had support on the phone helping me trying to find the problem wrong with it but wasn’t very helpful, just had me clean it which I do.. so I just Finally just bought a different machine hopefully it doesn’t do the same thing.

I only rarely buy coffee out anymore. I've tried pods for hot coffees, iced coffees, and espresso and they're all fantastic. I bought this machine in September 2021. It hasn’t even been 2 years and the machine doesn’t work anymore. I have to press the button about 60 times in the morning if I have 2 hours to spare to finally get a coffee. For the price of the machine and pods this should not happen a year and a half after buying it. Save your money and invest in a coffee machine that actually works. Also the coffee is weak I usually end up buying a coffee an hour later because the nespresso coffee gives me no caffeine.

I bought this machine a few months ago and just had to call for a replacement. The coffee was brewing into the pod disposal chamber. Super disappointed. I’ve wasted so many pods trying to get my machine working and the pods aren’t cheap. I should be receiving my new machine in a few days and I hope we don’t have the same issue. From other reviews I read it seems like this specific machine has a lot of issues. If I ever repurchase it would not be this specific model.
