Purchased 3Q24. Love the build quality, ease of use, ease of cleaning, and the coffee-convenience. Unfortunately mine leaks water onto the counter beneath it; sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. The volume of water is about 1/4 cup at most. A quick search on the 'net yields no conclusive results other than this is surprisingly common, so I'm considering another machine...which is not what Nespresso wants since I go through 2-3 capsules a day.

Got this as a gift 3 months ago and the pod lock is not the best, does not dump the pods properly into the bin any more but the worst thing is that it leaks terribly now. I have had an old Nespresso that was substantially cheaper and it never leaked. This thing leaks overnight when not being used.
Should have a major recall after reading all these reviews. I had a large puddle of water underneath it every morning.
No longer using it and trying to exchange it for another one.

I've litterally gone through four machines! EVERY SINGLE ONE leaks out the bottom. i have its on a wood base and the base is consistently wet!! is there no quality control?

The worst machine I’ve bought yet from nespresso. Stoped working the first time I tried to descale. Customer care to get a replacement is an absolute nightmare. I think after 12 years of being a loyal customer, that this machine has ruined Neepresso for me.

This is my 4th machine in 15 years and I can’t stand it. Lights go on and it stops working, try to clean and descale but every 2~3 weeks lights go on and it stops working until you can figure out what the stupid
thing wants. I’m up at 5am with friends evacuating from a fire in Malibu and I can’t make a single coffee for anyone. I’m ready to throw it in the trash. Just put the tea kettle on.

I bought this machine approximately 6 months ago after using other Vertuo models for the past year or so. It is beautiful on the counter, makes incredible coffee and the milk frother is great. The only problem (and it appears to me to be a design defect) is the the pods don't eject as the should everytime you open the top. First, for this, the most expensive model, the grippers are plastic rather than metal (as found in the lesser expensive models). I exchanged this once - it worked for several months and no does not eject again. I have gotten used to removing the pods by hand.

I’ve never been more disappointed with a coffee machine especially considering the price I paid. I’ve had it over a year and a half and it’s simply not reliable.
It has two major issues. The first, is that the machine leaks from the bottom each and every time I run a machine rinse and occasionally when I rinse the milk frothing wand. It’s just part of my routine now that I place a stack of paper towels underneath the machine when I plan to do any sort of machine rinse. The second is that I’m forced to waste several coffee pods to eventually get one cup of coffee. It’s apparently because the machine has issues reading the pod’s barcode underneath the pod rim. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a Nespresso pod or some other brand. I’m constantly greeted by the flashing red light on top of the pod compartment. I’ve cleaned the plastic pod reader, then completed a manufacturers’ reset by holding down the milk temperature button for the required number of seconds. All to no avail. I have decided not to buy any more pods until I’ve gone through the ones I have, so as not to waste any more money on this machine and then I’ll toss this useless machine into the trash.

Not very happy with it at this point. I went on line to see how to fix it and see other customers have had the same problem! Guess I’ll just have to return it.

I purchased this machine about 6 months ago and we have used it regularly with all the different Vertuo pods. We all love it along with our visitors who always request a coffee when they come in the door. I really like the steaming feature for the milk and the variation of temps and amount of steam it creates. I also like the ability to adapt it to a more conentrated coffee for the milk recipes. It also looks great on the counter. I just ordered another one for our other home since it was offered under a private sale offer. All in all Nespresso does a really good job offering an equivalent or better coffee than most coffee shops.

I have owned two Nespresso machines,this is by far the best one. I now don't even get coffee when I am out preferring to wait until I'm home.
I know it's a little pricey but we'll worth the money. If you are thinking about it you won't regret it.

Don't Look Forward to My Morning Coffee Anymore

This product lasted me a good 8 months until it started having issues.
1 - When you turn it on sometimes, only one part of the machine lights up - either the coffee or the milk frother. From time to time, I've had to restart the machine several times to get the whole machine to light up.
2 - Water leaks on the bottom of the tray. It was not overfilled and that little red exclamation point did not pop up - I just washed it and added it back to the machine. After making coffee, it was leaking.
3- The coffee and milk consistency isnt the same as it was previously. I do daily cleaning and descale when needed; The coffee comes out bubbly now and the milk frother consistency - like wet paint, isn't there no matter what frothing level I do as before. My VertuoLine of 5 years makes better coffee and it's creamy.
4- The price - if you're going to ask so much for a coffee machine like this, you need to have it work properly. I saw some reviews previously that this machine might be like the Vertuo Next, which has had a lot of problems. Should've believe it - it's similar in issues it has.

I am terribly sorry for having bought this model, besides being expensive it requires a lot of force to close and many times we have to open and close the device again. It has nothing to do with other models that close perfectly with a simple touch.

I am flabbergasted!!! My trusty old Citiz machine recently bit the dust and I had to place a video review with a Tech lady who insisted I reset the machine per her instructions rather than the directions in my owners manual. The result was TWO floods in our kitchen. I spoke with a 2nd rep who was kind enough to review the notes and agree that the old machine was toast and offer me a discount on the purchase of a replacement. I wanted to buy a Vertuo Creatista, with all the bells & whistles I want...then I read the reviews!!! More often than not the users state the many deficiencies of the machine, most often: THEY LEAK! These reviews are current, go back months and usually mention that the replacement machines they received were just as bad! WHY IS NESPRESSO / NESTLE MAKING UPDATES TO CORRECT THE MANY FLAWS IN THESE EXPENSIVE MACHINES?!?!?! I'm not about to spend all that money for something unlikely to function properly. C'MON PEOPLE, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

As part of your machine’s maintenance, we recommend the First Time Use Steps / Cleaning the Coffee System instructions at least once a week. Purcahsed the machine about a month ago and we have been extremely happy with it. As a computer literate but older person I do wish there was more documentation included on how to use and maintain the machine, going to the internet and searching for instructions while using the machine is not always the most convenient process.

I’ve owned 3 of these machines because they break allllll the time. It’s an amazing machine but I have had countless issues. The last two machines the steam wand never worked. I am now getting my fourth replacement machine. So make sure you get a warranty if you get one. But besides that it’s hands down the best machine and looks great

Had this machine for almost a year. Its very noisy!!! The tray makes a loud and annoying rattling noise that can't be adjusted. The upper handle is manual unlike the other less expensive machines that lift automatically and it's sometimes not discarding the empty capsules. Not worth the added expense.
