Ispirazione Genova Livanto takes its cue from the northern Italian coffee profile who emerged from the important trading city of Genova. Sailors returned from their explorations with Latin American coffees among their treasures. The roasters developed a lighter roast profile that kept the sweet aromas intact and crowned the bouquet with a classic sweet caramel note. We pay tribute to their skill in crafting this sweet roast profile. In Ispirazione Genova Livanto, good acidity and a low bitter note come with the lighter medium roast of predominantly Brazilian, Colombian and Guatemalan Arabicas. Hints of cocoa and spice in its fine crema give way to a lingering aftertaste that evokes that comforting aroma of malty cereal and sweet caramel. It’s a harmonious complexity of tastes and aromas that celebrates the myriad of aromas and flavors the Genovese explorers discovered on their travels around the globe and how the roasters made these aromas sing in the cup.
Ispirazione Firenze Arpeggio is inspired by Florence, an intellectual hub drawing influences from all the country. This city was not only shaped by its geographical position at the center of the country, but also by its being an intangible center. Florence is the home of the Renaissance – a beating literary, political and artistic heart. From this epicenter, influence flowed, and to it, influencers came. This intellectual city took the best of everything , and Ispirazione Firenze Arpeggio’s roasting style brings these influences together by combining fruity notes traditionally found in the North of Italy with cocoa notes from the South. Ispirazione Firenze Arpeggio is a blend of short and dark roasted Latin American Arabicas that celebrates the inspiration we got from artisans who drew their influences from all across the country. It harmoniously combines the lighter aromatic profiles from the north with the more intense notes from the South. It results in a blend beautifully balanced between bitter and sweet, that delivers a dense, creamy taste with bold roasty and cocoa notes.
Ispirazione Venezia gets its inspiration from the master blending of Venetian roasters once at the crossroads of two civilizations. Ispirazione Venezia celebrates the longest local coffee tradition of Italy with a roast that combines the intense notes of the Ottoman influence and the highly aromatic European coffee profiles. These influences arrived with the Venetian traders who led the way in importing coffee to Italy. The city was a bridge for the Ottoman culture, and soon the port bustled with master blenders and roasters. Over the centuries, Venetians roasters honed their craft, passing down the savoir-faire through the generations. To reflect this inherited know-how of Venetians roasters to combine intense and aromatic coffees in symphonic harmony, we gave Ispirazione Venezia the longest roast of the range. It harmonizes all the diverse elements of its Latin American Arabicas – a hint of fruity and floral aromas, the distinct cereal fragrance, and those luxurious notes of sweet caramel. When you add milk to this full-bodied espresso, it adds to the rounded smoothness and subtle sweetness of Ispirazione Venezia.
Master Origin India with Robusta Monsoon gets its intense and woody aromatics from a monsooned Robusta blended into Indian Arabica. Monsooning coffees is unique to India’s southwest coast. The farmers spread out green coffee beans into heaps across wide open-sided warehouses. Months of monsoonal winds repeatedly swell and dry the beans. It mimics the journey it used to take when sailing to Europe in the 19th Century. Changing tack, Master Origin India uses monsooned Robusta instead of the traditional Arabica. It has a wild taste - woody, savory, spicy notes and thick as sea mist. f you’re changing tack, try this coffee as a Latte Macchiato. You’ll still catch the long-lasting wood and spice aromatics and all of Master Origin India with Robusta Monsoon ’s intensity. This Arabica Robusta blend makes a great coffee with milk.
Master Origin Indonesia wet-hulled Arabica is a race against rain. Indonesian farmers wet-hull their coffee because of the humid climate. After removing the fruity outer flesh, the Sumatran coffee beans are left to ferment overnight, then hand washed and sundried for a day. Then they remove the parchment because exposed beans dry faster. The heat and bouts of sunshine dry the beans quickly. The method is unique to them and produces the classic Indonesian coffee taste - velvety thick, wildly aromatic, notes of cured tobacco. Master Origin Indonesia wet-hulled Arabica contains only Fair Trade Indonesian Arabica coffee processed in this unique way. Try Master Origin Indonesia wet-hulled Arabica with a dash of milk - nutty, woody and roasted notes emerge in this intense Master Origin coffee with milk.
