Rio de Janeiro Espresso

Embodying the spirit of this lively and colourful city, World Explorations Rio de Janeiro Espresso reflects the country’s deeply rooted heritage of both growing and drinking coffee. An intense, exotic and velvety espresso crafted exclusively with Brazilian Arabicas. Its unique touch of sandalwood and herbal notes will give you a glimpse into the Brazilian way of life. Drink it like a local: Double your espresso with hot water to taste the typical smooth Carioca coffee.

Origin

This 100% arabica is created using beans from two distinct Brazilian regions: Cerrado - well-known for its quality - and Espirito Santo, which brings in the herbal notes that define this coffee.

Roasting

Espirito Santo beans are roasted separately for an optimal time as to preserve the herbal notes. The beans from the other regions are roasted together in a dark roasting mode and for much longer to enhance body, intensity and bitter notes.​

Ingredients

  • 1 capsule of World Explorations Rio de Janeiro Espresso (40 ml)
  • 4 ice cubes (131 ml)
  • Fresh non-treated lime
  • 2 sticks (8 g) brown sugar
  • 2 g gum syrup
  • 60 ml still water

Materials

How to make this recipe?

  • Step 1

    Place 16 fresh lime wedges and 8 g of brown sugar (2 Nespresso brown sugar sticks) into a View Recipe Glass.
  • Step 2

    Muddle it
  • Step 3

    Add 2 g of gum syrup
  • Step 4

    Add four 30 g ice cubes and pour in 60 ml of water
  • Step 5

    Mix it slowly with a spoon
  • Step 6

    Extract 40 ml of World Explorations Rio de Janeiro Espresso over it
  • Step 7

    Garnish with a nice slice of fresh lime on the rim of the glass.
