For optimal milk froth, use pasteurized whole or semi-skimmed milk at refrigerated temperature.
It is recommended to use the milk jug provided with the machine for an optimized performance.
To ensure the best hygienic conditions, it is highly recommended emptying and cleaning the capsule container every day. You may also use the "Rinse Steam Wand" option from the settings menu.
Additionally, we highly recommend that you perform the Milk System Cleaning Procedure monthly or when the display shows "Clean Steam Wand". It takes approximately 10 minutes. Go to settings, select "Clean Steam Wand" and follow the on screen instructions.
Descale when prompted on-screen. It takes approximately 15 minutes.
Please note that the machine will stop you from use if the descale cycle has not been performed after 30 uses. A "lockout" count-down will appear to alert you of the number of uses remaining until usage will stop. To descale your machine go to the settings menu and select "Descale". Follow the on screen instructions.

Every beverage is customizable in at least 1 parameter:
- Black coffees can be reprogrammed in volume to fi your taste.
- Milk based recipes can be reprogrammed in coffee volume, milk temperature and froth volume.
Yes, you may use the on/off button. The machine also has an automatic shut off after 10 minutes.
The screen will notify the consumer when a descaling is necessary. Please descale when prompted on-screen, as the machine will stop you from use if the descale cycle has not been performed after 30 uses. There is no specific function for setting the coffee temperature on this machine. If the coffee is not hot enough, we recommend that you preheat the cup. Descale if necessary
Only drip tray grid & Milk jug are dishwasher-safe
All the Nespresso machines are equipped with a 19-bar pressure pump, which provides the power needed to pierce the film of the capsule and release the coffee's 900 or so different aromas. The shape of the Nespresso capsule has been specially designed to ensure that the pressurized water flows evenly through the ground coffee during extraction. The temperature and flow time are also set to ensure that each precious aroma is expressed.
