The unique centrifuge action of the Nespresso VertuoLine ensures you get every drop of flavor from each Nespresso capsule. Just insert a capsule and close the lever-when activated, the capsule spins up to 7,000 rotations per minute, blending ground Coffee with hot water and producing the perfect crema to complement your favorite Coffee or Espresso.
Individual capsules are recognized automatically – allowing for the perfect extraction of every Grand Cru. There's no need to change settings – the one-touch brew feature lets you create exceptional freshly brewed Coffee or authentic Espresso at the touch of a button.

- How hot is the coffee with VertuoLine? Why is this the perfect temperature to brew coffee with?
The temperature is a designed parameter to ensure the best result in-cup and is different from one blend to another. Each blend is specifically created (strict bean selection, expert blending, roasting and grinding) for the best interplay and harmony with the specifically defined brewing parameters produced by the Nespresso VertuoLine machine.
In general, the coffees can be consumed directly after brewing. If you wish to drink your coffee hotter, you can preheat your cup by rinsing it with hot water and we also advise to warm up your milk before mixing it with the coffee.
Please call us for further assistance. We are pleased to offer technical support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via the toll-free number listed below.
- Cleaning mode is not activating properly:
The VertuoLine machine has a cleaning procedure that can be performed at user discretion (once a week is a good idea if the machine is used frequently). The process is identical to that of the first-use cleaning procedure:
-Plug in machine.
-Rinse the water tank (on the left) and fill with warm water and place on the machine.
-Make sure the drip tray is in place and the cup shelf is in the lowest position.
-Turn lever to right to open head and make sure no capsule is in the machine. Close the head until it snaps shut.
-Press the button to turn on the machine. Wait until light becomes steady.
-Place a receptacle under the coffee outlet (minimum 12.5 oz)
-Make sure the machine head is closed and then turn the lever to the left to lock the machin
-Press the button 3 times quickly (within 2 seconds). Cleaning process will begin. Water may take 1-2 minutes to start flowing. There will be many stops and starts and the button blinks the whole time.
-The process can take up to 5 minutes. When the light is steady the machine is finished and ready to brew.
- The lights on my VertuoLine are blinking in a strange pattern. What do they mean?
-There will be two blinks followed by a steady light to indicate user error (brewing with no capsule, lever is opened mid-brew, trying to brew when lever is unlocked)
-The button blinks once followed by one pause to indicate that the water tank is empty.
-The button blinks at a moderate pace and continuously when in cleaning mode.
-The button blinks 3 times followed by steady light, then repeats to indicate descaling alert.
-The button blinks quickly and continuously when in descaling mode, during descaling, or in emptying mode.
-The button blinks two times and pauses to indicate a machine error.
-The button blinks three times and pauses to indicate that service is needed. If your machine blinks in this pattern, please call us at 1800-562-1465 to speak to a Machine Specialist.
-The button blinks five or six times slowly after performing a factory reset.
- How do I descale the VertuoLine machine?
Please follow these instructions to descale your machine:
NOTE: The lactic acid solution can damage surfaces (such as granite countertops). We recommend placing something protective underneath the machine to avoid getting the solution on your countertop. If you should spill in the process of descaling, make sure to wipe up the solution and clean the surface right away.
-With the machine plugged in, eject any used capsules and empty the capsule container and drip tray and return them to the machine.
-Fill the water tank with one package of descaling solution and about 17 ounces of water.
-Turn the machine on by pressing the button once and waiting for a steady light.
-Close the machine head and leave the lever in the unlocked position.
-Hold the button down until the light goes out and then starts blinking quickly. Release once the blinking starts. This takes approximately 7 seconds.
-Lock the lever, then unlock. Press and hold the button again until the blinking light goes out and then starts blinking quickly (this step needs to be performed within 45 seconds).
-Lock the machine and place an empty receptacle under the coffee spout.
-Push the button once to start the descaling process.
-The solution will dispense in starts and stops for approximately 20 minutes. The button will continuously blink throughout the whole process.
-Once the solution has finished running through, wait for the machine to stop making noise, discard the solution and place the empty receptacle back under the coffee spout.
-Empty and rinse the drip tray and water tank, then fill the water tank 2/3 full with fresh water and return to the machine.
-Press the button to start the rinsing process. The machine will stop when finished. Wait for the machine to stop making noise.
-Discard the rinsing water once complete.
-To exit descaling mode, press and hold the button until the light becomes steady (approximately 7 seconds).
-Empty and rinse the drip tray and water tank and return them to the machine.
-Allow the machine to rest for 10 minutes before using it.
