Why aluminium?

Because you are very demanding about the quality of your coffee, at Nespresso, our mission is to offer you the best. This is why all our capsules are made of aluminium. Because aluminium preserves the aroma of your coffee much better.

Aluminium has real protective qualities. It creates an almost impenetrable barrier between your coffee and oxygen, moisture and light, so that it stays fresh. The flavor and aroma of your coffee remain intact, well protected in the Nespresso aluminium capsule.

But that's not the only reason we use aluminium. Because in addition to preserving the quality of your coffee, aluminium can be recycled endlessly. With each new life, it retains its original properties. Just as it was on the first day.

No need to wait for your Nespresso recycling bag to be filled before dropping it off at the boutique or handing it to your delivery person. From now on, all you have to do is empty the used capsule container of your machine directly into your blue bag.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE USED CAPSULES?

Aluminium is completely and infinitely recyclable. Each capsule you recycle can come back in another everyday object – like a can, a bicycle, or a Victorinox knife. The possibilities are endless.
