Elements of Byron resort is the latest Nespresso partner hotel to offer RE:CYCLE Vélosophy bicycles as a fun and convenient way to explore one of Australia’s most-loved coastal towns.

It is also the latest Nespresso partner hotel to offer guests the chance to experience the innovative Vélosophy borrow bikes. Featuring a bike frame made using 95% recycled aluminium, including 20% Nespresso capsules from their Swiss recycling program, these RE:CYCLE bicycles offer an eco-conscious and stylish mode of transport.

A partnership born out of a common commitment to sustainability
Set in a bushland setting just minutes’ walk to the beach, Elements of Byron is the place where ultimate luxury meets nature; a stay here offers an invitation to guests to unwind, reconnect and slow down from the chaos of life. The resort features more than 200 free-standing villas, an adults-only pool, onsite bars and eateries and conference facilities, and boasts a strong commitment to sustainability and local ecology, which is reflected in the hotel’s design and operations.

Through this local programme, Nespresso makes recycling easy in just three steps. Any business can simply order a Bulk Recycling Kit, a collection box that can hold up to 1,500 aluminium capsules. Once full, Nespresso’s recycling partner Remondis picks up the box (at no extra cost) so the used coffee capsules can be shipped to a specialist recycling plant.
Any capsules collected are processed through the Remondis plant where incoming capsules are weighed, and then processed to separate the coffee grounds from the aluminium. The recovered coffee grounds are processed further for use as compost and soil mix for landscaping and the aluminium is compressed, baled and sent to the aluminium industry.
