This blend is roasted using the split-roast technique (50/50). The first split is slight lighter and longer than the second, which balances it out with a darker roast. The result is a balanced, medium dark blend.

FOREST BLACK is a blend of coffees all grown under the leafy canopy of trees. The shade shelters the coffee trees from direct sun and creates a cooler environment in which the fruit can mature more slowly. That slower ripening of the coffee cherry protects the aromas that later develop during roasting and brewing. These shade-grown coffees—hailing from origins respected for this approach—often deliver on flavours that’ll also remind you of the forest. A complex split-roast blend of Arabicas from Colombia, Peru, Guatemala and India bring exotic woody notes, and aromas of peppery spices that dance through these coffees once roasted and brewed.
