High in Costa Rica’s mountains, only a small selection of arabica coffee beans is soaked in rainforest hot spring waters. The scarcity of this Limited Edition comes from this rare process which highlights the malty sweet cereal character of this craftsman’s coffee.

100% arabica FROM COSTA RICA

We recommend drinking this coffee as a Latte Macchiato. In this way, you will taste an extra layer of smoothness and a creamy texture. The harmony of milk froth with this Costa Rican delight will highlight its sweet cereal notes. Try it as a cappuccino as well. This indulgent beverage allows for some pleasing bitterness. It develops a dense texture and enhances the cereal notes.

ORIGIN
A group of AAA farmers selectively handpicked this coffee in Costa Rica’s Central Highlands. They bring the thermal waters down to the coffee wet mill and use it once – and only once – to soak the pulped coffee for 12 hours. From almost 70˙C the water cools down to 18˙C, and as it cools and the coffee soaks, the natural minerals thoroughly cleanse the beans and bring out their finest characteristics. The Hot Springs Technique is patented by one of the local farmers
ROASTING
Master Origin Costa Rica gets a split roast. The first part gets a medium roast that develops that sweet malty cereal character in the coffee. The other split is a stronger roast that gives Master Origin Costa Rica its roasted note.
AROMATIC PROFILE
The one-of-a-kind process of fermentation in hot spring waters brings about a remarkably balanced and clean taste in the cup. Master Origin Costa Rica is full-bodied but mellow. A malty sweet cereal note runs through it with crystal clarity.
