A GENUINE FLAVOUR WHISPERED BY THE WIND

The story of this special Limited Edition began in the 18th century in Southern India, where the finest Arabica beans were loaded onto wooden-hulled sailing ships bound for Europe. The peculiar effect of the humidity and tropical sea winds encountered on the long trip caused the beans to swell and age, transforming them in a truly unique way.
This gave the coffee beans their unique aroma and a very special mellow texture.

A DIFFERENT COURSE. THE SAME UNIQUE AROMA

With the arrival of modern steamships, the opening of the Suez Canal and the subsequent shortening of the navigation routes, the same conditions that made this coffee legendary had to be recreated in order to keep its unique flavour unaltered.
Through a special process called “monsooning”, the selected coffee beans are exposed to the tropical monsoon winds in well-ventilated warehouses close to the sea on the Indian Malabar coast for a period of 2 to 3 months, absorbing the salty moisture and adopting their characteristic golden colour. Nespresso follows all stages of this process with meticulous care to bring you coffee at its best.

  • Ingredients
      1 Monsoon Malabar Grand Cru capsule
      1cl Vanilla syrup
      10cl non-alcoholic sparkling bitter aperitif
      3 Ice cubes
      1 Cape Gooseberry
  • Accessories
      1 Shaker
      1 cocktail glass
  • Preparation

    - Pour 1cl of Vanilla syrup in the glass
    - Add 10cl of a non alcoholic sparkling bitter aperitif
    - Pour a Monsoon Malabar Grand Cru (40ml) in a shaker and shake it together with 3 ice cubes
    - Pour then the coffee in your glass
    - Decorate with a Cape Gooseberry
    - Drink it with a straw, from bottom to top.

  • Ingredients
      1 Monsoon Malabar Grand Cru capsule
      Fresh mint leaves 15mls mojito-mint syrup or sugar cane syrup
      3 Ice cubes and crushed ice
  • Accessories
      1 Shaker
      1 Glass from the Glass Collection
  • Preparation

    - Place fresh mint leaves in a glass
    - Add 15mls of Mojito-Mint syrup or sugar cane syrup
    - Add crushed ice and crush the mix softly
    - Add 1 Monsoon Malabar Grand Cru in a shaker together with 3 ice cubes
    - Pour the coffee into a glass
    - Decorate with mint leaves and enjoy!

  • Ingredients
      2 Monsoon Malabar Grand Cru capsules
      15mls Caramel salted butter of caramel syrup
      100mls of milk
      Cane sugar
  • Accessories
      1 Glass from the Glass Collection
      1 Aeroccino
      1 kitchen blowtorch
  • Preparation

    - Pour 15mls of caramel-salted butter or caramel syrup in the glass
    - Add 1 Monsoon Malabar Grand Cru (40mls)
    - Froth 100mls of milk in an Aeroccino (hot), pour into glass
    - Add the remaining Monsoon Malabar Grand Cru (40mls) slowly
    - Cover the milk froth with cane sugar and caramelise it carefully with a kitchen blowtorch.

    An indulgent recipe,this double caramel Latte Macchiato will delight you during your afternoon breaks.
