FAQ

  • What are the coffee cup sizes on the Nespresso-KitchenAid machine?

    The Nespresso-KitchenAid machine offers 6 volume settings (from left to right): 1: 25 ml (ristretto), 2: 40 ml (espresso), 3: 60 ml, 4: 90 ml, 5: 110 ml (lungo), or 6: 130 ml.

  • There is no coffee or water flow?

Ensure that water tank is filled with water. If your water tank is already filled, it may mean your machine needs descaling. Proceed to descaling steps listed in the Use&Care and Guide

In you are still encountering issues; ensure that:
    - Capsule container is no full
    - There is no capsule blocked inside the machine
    - The capsule was inserted in the correct orientation
    - The handle is completely closed

If the problem cannot be fixed, please call the Nespresso club.

  • How do I change the standby mode of my machine?

Rotate the selection dial until the light is over the left most position and hold for 6 seconds. The light will hold steady before changing to 2 blinks per second. You are now in programming mode where you can choose between 15 min (first left position), 20 minutes (second left position) and 30 minutes (third left position). If you want to return to factory settings, go to the most right position. When selected the desired standby mode time, press the brewing button to confirm your choice. The machine will then blink 3 times to confirm that you have exited the programming mode.

  • Can I put part of my machine in dishwasher?

Only the capsule disposal container, drip grid, and drip tray (black plastic only) can be put in the top rack of a dishwasher. The water tank must be washed by hand only (no dishwasher). By hand, wash the water tank in hot, soapy water and rinse with clean water. Dry with a soft cloth.

  • The closing handle does not close completely or the machine. Is the machine broken?

Empty the capsule container and check that no capsule is blocked inside the machine.
