"The cities that breathe" is the project sustainable with which we protect the natural heritage, creating new green areas or redeveloping the existing ones. The goal? To make Italy ever greener, increasing its biodiversity and give everyone the opportunity to actively live their own life territory rediscovering its beauty.

Woods, green parks and natural areas are among the most precious resources of the country, that's why we chose to preserve them with concrete and far-reaching actions that create value for the entire community. Our commitment it does not stop at the present but foresees a path also in the next few years along Italy with forestation and area redevelopment interventions selected. City and nature meet again.

ASSAGO - LOWER BAZZANA
Estimated surface area involved: 500m2
The municipality of Assago is located southwest of Milan and the area affected by the project is that of the neighborhood Bazzana inferiore, recently built. The main objective of the intervention is to create a green barrier to contain noise pollution and environmental, planting 120 trees belonging to the Walnut species.
MONZA
Estimated surface area involved: 10,000 m2
The municipality of Monza is located in the high plain Lombardy and is the third in the region in terms of number of inhabitants. The urban redevelopment project concerns the neighborhood via Einstein and aims to increase the wooded area of ​​the Municipality by planting 1,000 trees belonging to native species (Holm oak, Field maple and English oak) and further improve the environmental conditions of the city.
BITONTO – ALTA MURGIA NATIONAL PARK
Estimated surface area involved: 10,000m2
The municipality of Bitonto (BA) is located within of the Alta Murgia National Park, which with the With over 68,000 square meters, it is among the largest National Parks of Italy. The urban forestry intervention concerns the implementation home to 1,400 plants for a surface area of ​​over 10,000 m2 of new greenery in an area urban area near the municipal swimming pool. Objective: to mitigate the damage caused by the fires of summer 2021 inside the Alta Murgia National Park contributing to restore forest balance.
ROME – VILLA ADA, MONTE ANTENNE AREA
Estimated surface area involved: 15,000 m2
Monte Antenne is a hill of Rome part of Villa Ada, one of the largest and most beautiful national parks suggestive of Italy. The intervention to protect the heritage forestry has provided for the safety of the area with the removal of dangerous trees, cleaning of plants weeds and brambles present on the pedestrian path. They have been 170 new plants were also planted, selected among the native tree and shrub species considered suitable to the current Mediterranean climate and to the Park. Objective: redevelop the cycle/pedestrian path of Forte Antenne, making it accessible to the community again.
CUGLIERI – MONTIFERRU CASTLE
Estimated surface area involved: 12,000 m2
The area located near the Castello del Montiferru, known as Casteddu Ezzu, is located in the territory of Cuglieri, a town on the slopes of the Montiferru reliefs, which due to the fire of 23, 24 and 25 July 2021 suffered one of the largest environmental disasters in Italy. The protection intervention is aimed at the environmental recovery of the public area and the cleaning of the access path to the medieval building. The burned areas were cleaned, the plants that survived the flames were recovered and over 400 new plants were planted to renaturalize the area.
TURIN – VILLARETTO DISTRICT
Estimated surface area involved: 10,000 m2
The environmental regeneration project has allowed the planting of 1,000 new plants, belonging to various native species and consistent with the climatic conditions of the area, including the white hornbeam, the dog rose, the red willow and the apple tree, and the creation of a new urban forest in an area of ​​10,000 square meters located in the 6th district, in the northern part of the city of Turin. The project will improve the naturalistic aspect of the area and contribute to a greater healthiness of the territory by making the area usable by citizens who will thus be able to benefit from this regenerated green space.
GRATTERI (PA) – MADONIE GEOPARK UNESCO
Estimated surface area involved: 10,000 m2
The city of Gratteri, in the province of Palermo, is the custodian of a territory rich in history and biodiversity, which in recent years has been the scene of devastating fires that have compromised its ecosystem balance, the last in September 2023. The redevelopment project aims to revive the Mediterranean scrub while preserving the value of the Park and the area of ​​the famous Abbey of San. Giorgio. The works include cleaning the area, cutting down trees damaged by fire and planting over 300 new plants to support the renaturalization of the area.
UDINE – PRADAMANO
Area involved: 5,000 m2
The project involved planting 1,000 new trees, which over time will create a green lung capable of enhancing the biodiversity of the area and generating an ecological renewal of the local ecosystem. The new urban forest, destined to become a green oasis, was designed to integrate with and extend the wooded strip along the Torre River. In addition to providing a refuge for the area's microfauna, the naturalized area will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting biodiversity.
LONDA (FLORENCE) - CASANTINESI FORESTS NATIONAL PARK
Estimated surface area involved 15,000 m2
The project involves an area characterized by a very rich naturalistic heritage and includes forest restoration and thinning interventions on approximately 15,000 square meters of spruce forest affected by desiccation and bark beetle infections. The objective is to guarantee greater stability of the forest through an activity of cleaning the area with the removal of dead plants. This will allow both the affirmation of the larger plants and the spontaneous entry of native broadleaf trees. In addition, over 200 new spruce trees will be planted in areas affected by natural disasters.
VALENZA – PO PIEDMONTESE NATURAL PARK
Area involved: 10,000 m2
The intervention involved the planting of 1,000 trees in Bosco Musolino, along the banks of the Po, with the aim of strengthening the banks, countering flooding and damage from climate change. A concrete response to the request for interventions along the banks of rivers, a priority for 45% of Italians interviewed as part of the first Participatory Observatory by Nespresso and called to respond in the field of environmental sustainability and circularity, but also social and community ties, to understand their expectations towards companies operating in the area.
