Iced Macchiato
With Smashed Avocado & Poached Egg on Sourdough Toast

INTRODUCTION
Enhance your iced coffee experience this summer with a Nespresso on Ice Macchiato. This recipe adds a dash of Vanilla Syrup, offering a nice sweet twist which pairs well with the nuttiness of Barista Creations Bianco Leggero.
Pair with a delicious Avocado and Poached Egg on Sourdough for a full summer brunch moment!
INGREDIENTS
AVOCADO AND POACHED EGG ON SOURDOUGH
- 1 avocado
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- 1/4 finely chopped red onion
- 1 Egg
- 2 slices of sourdough (wheat)
- 1/4 finely chopped fresh chilli
- Pinch of salt & pepper (to taste)
- Pinch of chilli flakes (to taste)
NESPRESSO ON ICE MACCHIATO
- 1 capsule of Barista Creations Bianco Leggero
- 90g ice cube
- 10 ml of Vanilla Syrup
- 100 ml semi-skimmed Milk
MATERIALS
- Nespresso Vertuo Machine
- Vertuo Mug
- Nespresso Aeroccino 4
LET'S MAKE IT
AVOCADO AND POACHED EGG ON SOURDOUGH
- Add the avocado, lime juice, red onion & spices to a bowl and mash together with a fork. Leave to one side.
- Bring a saucepan of water to the boil, crack your egg into the water and poach.
- Whilst egg is poaching, toast the sourdough, and load up with smashed avocado.
- Place the egg on top of the avocado.
- Sprinkle with chilli flakes to finish.
NESPRESSO ON ICE MACCHIATO
- Pour 100 ml of semi-skimmed milk into the Aeroccino milk frother.
- Press the cold milk function (blue button)
- Place 3 ice cubes (30 g each) into your Vertuo Mug and add 10 ml of Vanilla Syrup.
- Pour the cold milk foam into the glass and mix.
- Extract 40 ml of Barista Creations Bianco Leggero into the glass
- Serve and enjoy!
