The Barista Creations Chiaro coffee capsules, with their sweet and smooth flavor, practically do not reveal their roasted character, so their bitter notes or acidity are hardly perceived. When milk is added, it reveals its creamy notes of caramel and biscuit. The baristas of Brooklyn inspired us with their light roast, which highlights the natural sweetness of the coffee and, when milk is added, provides a delicious smoothness to the cup.

The roasting process of a coffee plays a fundamental role in achieving the perfect balance. To obtain that sweet and pleasant flavor of Chiaro, we roast the beans separately at a relatively low temperature for a moderate period of time, enough for the inherent sweetness of the coffee to develop.

To find the perfect balance, we did not hesitate to try a large number of coffees from different origins, and thus we discovered that not all coffees interact well with milk or milk foam. But the Arabica coffee beans from Kenya do, so we selected them to be part of Chiaro and mixed them with Arabica beans from the island of Sumatra, in Indonesia.
