Caffein-free coffee

With or without caffeine, can you taste the difference? Nespresso's caffeine-free range Decaffeinato consists of four different blends based on the original Ristretto, Arpeggio, Volluto and Vivalto Lungo, each with its own rich aroma and natural character, carefully preserved through the careful process of removing the caffeine.

To make it caffeine-free, the coffee goes through a process that is done before roasting the green coffee. The caffeine is dissolved and then removed from the green coffee, either with water or solvent.

At Nespresso we remove the caffeine using the natural and water-based process. When the water comes in contact with the coffee, the caffeine dissolves and gradually decreases without changing the natural quality of the coffee. In this way we don’t need to use any chemical solvents and the coffee bean maintains its unique character, taste profile and aroma.
