Alexis Rodriguez, Nespresso’s Green Coffee Manager, was born in Bogotá (Columbia).
After graduating in microbiology with a specialty in biostatistics, Alexis was recruited straight after university by the Columbian Coffee Federation - the largest cooperative of Columbian producers.
There, he honed his senses by working on the development of saps - these components are the precursors of the smell and the taste of coffee that only appear after roasting.
In 1999, Alexis joined Nespresso and quickly became a major figure. He helped create the full methodology to evaluate the quality of Green Coffee.
His role : from a poetic name invented by the marketing teams of Nespresso, he uses his smell and taste to create the harmonies of the Nespresso Grand Cru coffees of tomorrow.
