Important ties between Nespresso and haute cuisine
It is not by chance that Nespresso is today the coffee of choice of some 700 Michelin star restaurants throughout the world. For many years, Nespresso has been helping great chefs in their search for excellence, creating unique bonds with them day after day.
The official coffee for the Grand Final of the Bocuse d'Or for the last three editions, Nespresso is also a partner in the 2013 Grand Final of the World Patisserie Cup.
This year the intimate relationship between Nespresso and the great French and international chefs yet again results in a truly wonderful presentation. Talented chefs who deliver a very personal interpretation of the Great Vintages by signing sublime menus specially created for the occasion. At this start of this year 2013, Edouard Loubet (Michelin 2*) and Yannick Alleno (Michelin 3*), have all responded to the invitation of Nespresso and applied themselves with character and inventiveness to this demanding exercise.
For the chef of the Domaine de Capelongue at Bonnieux-en-Provence, like many of his fellow-members, coffee is a faithful companion during the course of his long working days; always in search of innovation, of combinations to serve tasty flavours, he loved intensely the idea of developing a remarkable 5 dish menu based around the Great Vintage Arpeggio by Nespresso, guided by the marriage between the soil, the sea, the undergrowth and plants.
As for Yannick Alleno, he has created a unique menu based on the Great Vintage Indriya from India, using coffee like never before, regarding it as an “enhancer of flavours”.
