Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality™ Coffee Program: The Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality™ Coffee Program is a program of integrated coffee farm management practices ensuring compliance with quality and sustainability guidelines.
The main focus of the program is to help protect the future of Nespresso's highest quality coffee and secure the livelihoods of the farmers that grow them, while at the same time protecting the natural environment. This program is distinctive in that it adds a quality dimension to the sustainability principles and also helps farmers improve farm management and productivity.

Rainforest Alliance: The Rainforest Alliance is an international, non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 1987. Their stated mission is to protect ecosystems and the people and wildlife that depend on them by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behaviour. Real Farmer Income™: Within the Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program Nespresso has created the concept of Real Farmer Income™ to describe Nespresso’s approach to implementing the AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program in a way that maximizes economic and social value for farmers belonging to the program.
Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN): A coalition of leading conservation groups that links responsible farmers with conscientious consumers by means of the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal of approval.
Stakeholders: A party who affects, or can be affected by, the company's actions. For Nespresso this includes farmers, suppliers, employees, consumers, distributors, local communities, among others.
