Our first 100% AAA blends
In October 2005 we achieved a significant milestone. One of our most popular Grands Crus, Volluto, became the first 100% AAA SUSTAINABLE QUALITY(tm) coffee in our range, as independently verified by the Rainforest Alliance. Then in November 2006, Caffè Forte for the B2B market was added to the range of Nespresso Grand Crus that is sourced 100% from our AAA SUSTAINABLE QUALITY(tm) Program. Today, 30% of the total green coffee beans we buy come from the AAA program, an increase of 10% over last year, and it is our intention to reach 50% by 2010.
